Working on this campaign has been an absolute pleasure. 

'Amor a la Mexicana' (Love in the Mexican Way) is the idea we came up with to promote a romantic dinner for couples to commemorate Valentine's Day in a restaurant which is one of my place of work's client. At first i felt genuinely lost because i didn't had any viable ideas. A friend and coworker said that maybe i should try to incorporate imagery of the cine de oro mexicano (mexican golden age era of cinema) into my designs. 

So i investigated, chose my fonts, colours and eventually drew inspiration from old mexican movie posters (from the 50's! which were painted by hand by various artists); Maria Felix and Jorge Negrete, one of the most iconic couples from this time, were my protagonists in my own interpretation of old movie posters and my way of modernising them. 

Talavera style or talavera resources also played a big part in the composition of the design. Hopefully you'll like it. I had the time of my life working on this.
